I am Greta, the Founder and Event Director of Nova Events by Greta McNebb.
I grew up a small town girl in Bulgaria, the daughter of a chef. My fresh and unique party planning style and the dream to be an event planner was born directly from my family’s kitchen.
Dreaming of more opportunities, I took a leap of faith and moved to New York City (20 years old) instantly falling into the niche of the Hospitality industry and NYC’s elite event planning world.
After 17 years of experience producing weddings, corporate and private events, I feel right at home designing and creating celebrations that are curated, unique experiences reflecting our clients vision, their dreams and values. My experience includes 7 years as the Event and Catering Director of one of New York City’s finest and most cutting edge companies where I gained an extensive knowledge of food and beverage management and production.
Possessing the unique ability to use my imagination and fast problem solving skills we transform any challenge into the perfect opportunity to think outside the box, create something exciting, unique, and new.

I am a fun-loving wife and a momma of Maximilian Jagger. My imagination is my happy place and I am constantly on the hunt for everything and anything aesthetically pleasing. My personal favorite is all the Boho chic decor, lifestyle, wisdom. I consider myself to be a spiritual gangster and try with all my heart to be as authentically me as I can. I am an Ayurvedic chef and a passionate foodie! I love a good Classic Negroni (not Sbagliato:)) and to dance around my home office every chance I get. Palm trees are my spirit plant, but Proteas make my soul sing.
Meet Chrysti Cook!
Chrysti is NYC Lead Event Planner here at Nova Events. She has been in the events industry in NYC for the past eight years and has done everything from large corporate events, pop up shops, brand activations, weddings and more. Chrysti is a ball of energy and brings excitement to every event she runs.
Chrysti and Greta have been working side by side for about 10 years and they are like Yin and Yang. So, if you have the opportunity to work with both of them....just know your event is going to be knocked out of the park! Chrys loves working with our brides to create their perfect vision board and she is hands on from start to finish when she is leading the charge.
It will be an understatement to say that Chrysti is obsessed with dogs (especially her dog Zoey), she loves Pilates and is a fashionista who loves pizza-New York Style! Chrysti spends most of her time in New York, but she is often on a plane headed to a new city. She spends her summers in Paris taking in the beautiful city, museums and fashion. We are so excited to have Chrysti a part of the Nova Events Team and you should be ecstatic if you get to work with her!
Meet Mischa Capra!
At the age of 20, Mischa took a leap and moved from Wilmington, NC to the city of dreams! For the past 4 years she fit right into the Event Planning and Social Media world where she has been involved in producing Corporate Events, Weddings, Bar/Bat mitzvahs.
She has participated in the Social Media Marketing for Product Launches, Clothing Boutiques, Luxury Furniture, Real Estate, Beauty and more!
Joining the NOVA team in 2022, Mischa has brought a fresh and unique energy and style not only to showcasing our beautiful work, but also staying ahead of the fast pacing trends. And that is not all, Mischa is extremely hard-working and loves to be involved in every aspect of Event Planning and Management. She says [In her words]:
“Planning any event feels like you're part of something amazing. Whether it's a wedding or a branding event, you know that in one way or another that event is changing someone's life. I love the set up of events and watching the visions come together! It is truly incredible watching TEAM NOVA make our clients' dreams come to life!”
1. Mischa was adopted from Russia and has 5 other adopted sisters.
2. Her parents have a cruelty free farm in FL that she loves to visit any chance she gets. She is in love with the cows; they bring her a sense of peace and happiness.
3. In her spare time she loves to go out and try new restaurants.
4. She loves all things fashion and beauty.
5. She hopes to own a cow sanctuary later in life.
Kera, our Miami-based Executive Assistant and Associate Planner at Nova Events, embarked on her journey with us following her college graduation. Since relocating to Miami, she has seamlessly integrated into our team. Over the past year, she has been an indispensable support to Greta, actively participating in every stage of event planning. From meticulously coordinating behind the scenes months in advance to serving as a bridal attendant and ensuring flawless execution on event days, Kera's dedication shines through. Additionally, she plays a pivotal role in managing our social media accounts and website, further enhancing our online presence.
Kera's a Kentucky native who loves hanging out with her family on their farm. Exploring new places is her jam, whether it's jetting off to distant lands or checking out local eateries with pals. When she's not clocking in, you'll likely catch her soaking up the sun at the beach, getting her pilates on, or enjoying good food with friends. We're thrilled to have such a dedicated and hardworking person on our team!
