It’s crazy to think that a Mini or Micro Wedding used to be oh-so-rare and how they’ve become so wonderfully embraced in the past year! There is just something about small-scale intimate events that makes us swoon.
Today we’re sharing the real wedding of Ben & Jenna. They are a gorgeous couple who, like so many others, were thrown a wedding planning curve ball! Their original plan for a 150+ guest wedding at Greenpoint Loft was no longer an option with Covid.
Instead, they opted for a lovely dinner celebrations with the ones they love the most. And to us, that sounds just perfect!
Cute Micro Wedding Details
Location was the first priority! Luckily, our couple had lovely friends who offered to host the wedding on the roof top of their private residence. (Brilliant idea and a money saver!)
The theme was a warm sunset summer evening on a rooftop with bohemian elements. The bride had a beautiful collection of vintage mandala tale cloths that we used. We also purchased succulents and air plans ad displayed them around, offering them to the guests as keep sake at the end of the evening.
The couple spend the day before the wedding hanging beautiful strings of lights that made the rooftop dreamy. We purchased a variety of palm tree plants and truly created a rooftop garden vibe.
Wedding Health & Safety
Ben & Jenna were incredibly conscious of the health of their guests and the sustainability of their event! We worked with them closely to follow guidelines, setting up a cute “Covid Station” with sanitizing wipes, gel, gloves, masks, etc.
We took care to space tables & ceremony chairs with enough room to allow for socially distanced celebrating!
There was a welcome sign and a table with beautiful face masks, a guests book and polaroid camera for guests to have fun with.
Food & drink is an area that requires a lot of thought for safe-serving. Dish Food handled catering and and they truly did an amazing job offering an all vegetarian menu that included individual “cocktail hour” tapas, as well as a variety of individual dinner and dessert options. For beverages, the couple recreated their favorite cocktails and served them from enclosed glass containers, picnic style.
It really was a beautiful evening filled with so much light and love. We wrapped up the night with dancing under twinkling lights and a fireworks send off!
